About the 'God' concept to Albert

 Yes. Science is also a belief. It's based on the basic existence assumption of something and postulates (we call these 'axioms' too) governing that something and derivations lead by those postulates. For instance, atom may be that basic existence assumption in nuclear physics. Like in geometry, 'point' is the basic existence assumption. Then we postulate governing 'points' based on intuitions or reasonings which appeal to the human brain  and finally derive a lot. These derivations concur with what we perceive, see and measure in the real world. That is to say, our theory works. So we say our conclusions are valid in a world where our 'point' satisfying our axioms exists. We don't say bluntly (equivalently, we don't cheat in this context) that it does exist.

      Your 'God' theory's basic existence assumption is the element called 'God'. The axioms are like

(1) If you don't behave this way (the moral principles enumerated to ensure a peaceful society), the 'God' who always keeps a watch on you shall punish you.

(2) Do not worry. You rest your problems on the God's shoulders. He knows what to do.

Perhaps there are many more axioms (differences define your 'religions'), but I have mentioned just two which are useful for me too (!) and seem to be common for all religions. How are the above two axioms useful for me ? First , it keeps the 'ignorant' (on my own scale)under control and grants me a peaceful social life. Had there been no fear of someone watching and punishing, these ignorants would not behave themselves. Second, most of my fellowmen (though ignorant) find solace in their miseries which I cannot provide them.

         The major difference in our perceptions is this :

      You are magnanimous enough to accept my 'point' axioms and derivations and use them in your daily life. I am not magnanimous. I do not accept your 'God' existence theory and your axioms. However I am business-like or selfish enough to acknowledge, to my advantage, the usefulness of two of your axioms. That way, I too am a cheat.

        May I summarise this way :

In a Utopian society where all are wise and happy, 'God' and 'religion' are unwanted elements, whereas in a dystopian society like ours 'அவன்' இருந்து தொலையட்டும். நான் குறிப்பிட்டது போல் எனக்குப் பயன்பாட்டாலும் கூட, தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் எனக்கு வேண்டாம். மகிழ்வான தருணத்தில் குதூகலிக்கத் தெரியும். துயரத்தில் அழத் தெரியும், விழத் தெரியும், எழத் தெரியும். அவ்வளவே !
